Our Principal Dentist Dr Andre Schertel graduated as a dentist in 2001.
Early 2008 he moved to Australia with his wife Cintia and joined the team at The Smile Place Mt Eliza.
Andre completed his post-graduate studies in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry in 2003, followed by a Post-Graduate Degree in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) at the University of Melbourne in 2011.
Most recently, he earned the distinguished title of Fellow of Dental Sleep Medicine (FSDM) — one of only 29 practitioners in Australia to hold this qualification.
He is passionate for continuing education and the use of technology in dentistry, and is often found tinkering with a new gadget or two.
Andre is a proud member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australasian Sleep Association, the International Team for Implantology, and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry.
Andre and Cintia (now also a team member at The Smile Place Mt Eliza) have settled in the Mornington area and are proud parents of Gabriel and Daniel.
As a family they love camping and enjoy the beauty of the Australian outdoors.
